How do I login to renew my membership?
Friends do not have a login for members at this time. To renew your membership, visit any Georgia State Park or click the button below.
What is the age requirement to receive the Senior discount on a Friends membership?
Anyone 62 years or older is eligible for the Senior discount on any Friends membership.
What is the difference between an annual pass and a Friends Membership?
The Georgia State ParkPass covers parking in any Georgia State Park, but that's all it includes. There are no additional benefits. With a Friends of GA State Parks and Historic Sites membership, however, you not only get an annual parking pass(es), but you get additional benefits depending on the level of membership you choose. Can I renew my membership early?
During your early renewal, please be sure to list the month your current membership expires in the notes section during checkout. This ensures your membership date to start when your previous membership ends.
How can I get a replacement membership?
If you have misplaced or lost your membership material, please contact our office at 770-383-8900 to verify your account in order to receive a replacement.
How long will it take to receive my membership?
Your membership should arrive via first class mail in one to two weeks. If you have not received your material by this time frame, please contact our office at 770-383-8900.
If I purchase online, Can I pick up my membership at the park?
These questions are answered case-by-case. Please call our office, and we will work with you to try to find a solution (please note that we cannot guarantee a solution will be found).
How can I upgrade my membership?
If you are interested in upgrading your membership, please contact 770-383-8900. You simply pay the difference between the two levels and our staff will mail the new membership material to you with the existing expiration date.
Membership Benefits
Can I combine my discounts with other discounts available at the parks?
Membership discounts such as 10% off overnight stays cannot be combined with other discounts available at the parks such as existing senior discounts or specials.
What are the blackout dates for my Friends membership?
2024 Holiday dates
- Memorial Day - Friday May 24th to Monday May 27th 2024
- July 4th - Tuesday July 2nd to Friday July 5th 2024
- Labor Day - Friday August 30th to Tuesday September 5th 2024
- Thanksgiving - Wednesday Nov 27th to Saturday Nov 30th 2024
- Christmas - Monday Dec 23rd to Thursday Dec 26th 2024
We reserve the right to change or amend the blackout dates from time to time without notice.
Additionally, some parks may have blackout dates around certain events. Be sure to check with the park before making your reservations to be sure.
I received my parking pass, but I think I have the wrong date?
Your hang tag is stamped with the month and the year of purchase but is valid through that month of the following year. Please refer to the written material on the back of your hang tag for more information.
Where are my membership benefits recognized?
A Friends of Georgia State Parks membership is recognized at all Georgia state parks and historic sites operated by the Parks & Historic Sites Division of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources. For a complete list, visit gastateparks.org.
Can I get my membership number while I wait for it in the mail?
While awaiting the arrival of your membership package by mail, you can present your receipt at the parks. Typically, the parks may issue you a day pass for parking, though this is subject to the park's discretion. Your membership materials should be delivered within 1-2 weeks. We do not have membership numbers to provide.
How do I use my free camping when I make reservations?
Your free night(s) of camping will be applied when you check in. Make your reservation as you normally would for camping. You will need to pay any required deposit(s). Then, when you check in for your stay, simply present your Friends membership card and your free night(s) will be credited to your stay!
Please be sure to bring your membership card when checking in for your reservation. This is required to redeem the free night of camping!

Since this program operates independently from Friends Of Georgia State Parks & Historic Sites, to access your Georgia State Parks Loyalty Program, please visit gastateparks.org/rewards. Any previous RV Club or Geo program members can mail their brochures/ stickers to:
